China Adventures
We're into our first week with Shekina and how time flies! We've been pretty busy with the activities that have been set up for us and it's been a lot of fun .... enjoying it together and keeping up with little baby.
It was a great experience going to the Fobidden City (palace of previous emperors of China), seeing the Tianamen Square where all the changes of modern China began with the Communist revolution etc. One of our highlights while in Beijing was to walk the Great Wall. No we didn't do all 4000 miles of it - but it was certainly inspiring.
After getting Shekina in the city of Chongqing, we were taken to several scenic spots. We were at two parks just enjoying the beautiful Chinese gardens with 7 other families who also received their daughters with us. Chongqing is the most populous city in China (like New York city) with 31 million people. China cities are as modern as some we see in the US - what a surpise. Of course it has also been a great time just bonding with our new little daughter.
Denny .... Shirley and little Shekina:)
