Singapore's Favorite Pastime! :)
Singapore's Favorite Pastime: Eating, visiting with family, eating, visiting with extended family, eating, visiting with friends from church and Denny's work colleagues, eating, eating, and more eating! :) Last night, Dorene and Kenny (Denny's brother and sister) had 40+ people over for a buffet dinner - a great time for Denny to visit with many extended family! :)
We have had a great week getting caught up with family and friends. Denny has had lots of his favorite spicy hot Singaporian food! :) We have been on a mission to find clothes for Denny as he can't find his size in US and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find smaller sizes now in Singapore too! So...we have been on a mission...
We visited Singapore's famous "Night Zoo" and went on a "Night Safari" where many different animals were in their "natural" habitat!
Please pray for health as Shirley has a cold and is not feeling too great (she is clogged up at both ends!! :)
We leave tomorrow AM (Sunday AM) for China and arrive in Beijing Sunday evening. Monday and Tuesday, we will do some sight-seeing - walking on the famous Great Wall of China, Tianamen Square and seeing China'a world reknowned pandas, etc! :)
Tuesday evening we leave for Chongqing and will have Shekina in our arms on Wed AM...as we embark on our fun journey of mom and dad! :)
Talk to you soon! :)

Welcome to Singapore!
We left Austin Thursday, Sept 15 at 7AM and arrived in Singapore Saturday at 1AM - Singapore time. We've been having a great time enjoying Singapore's favorite past time - eating, eating and more eating while catching up with friends and family!
Singapore is a city and country all in one, and while the ubiquitous high rises abound due to the exhorbitant land prices, I was pleasantly surprised to see sooo much green space and gorgoeous huge trees - very calming and refreshing!! :)
On Sunday AM we went to Denny's old church where he used to lead the singing and we went out for lunch with Denny's dear friends, Jerry, Cheryl, and family and David Ho and enjoyed a sumptuous lunch of Chili Crab, crunchy squid (mm ... mmm good) and an amazing BBQ red snapper, etc We then proceeded to the infamous Raffles Hotel for a non-alcoholic version of the famous "Singapore Sling" (even better was the amazing munchies of slightly spicy crunchy chickpeas and craisins combo! M..mmm.. good! :) Raffles is an old British Hotel (Founded in 1828) recently restored to its colonial splendour - huge white columns and porches with gorgeous greenery. Care to book a room for $1000 US/night?
We will be here for 1 week and leave for China on Sunday AM... more updates with reviews of top places to visit in Singapore! :) Stay tuned! :)
